Oseeris is a dedicated professional platform for searching, selecting, and sharing images. It has an innovative real-time connection to a large number of professional image databases.
Oseeris is equipped with a powerful meta-engine providing for simultaneously querying tens or hundreds of image databases directly, from the largest to the most highly specialized.
Oseeris’ goal is to bring professional image users and suppliers from around the world into contact as simply, quickly and broadly as possible and accelerate their dialogue.
How does Oseeris work for you?
Oseeris does not store images or links to images from every image databases. This would be meaningless since it is highly unlikely that such a register would be up-to-date; Most image databases add and delete hundreds, or even thousands, of images a day.
Oseeris’ technology provides:
- Connecting to hundreds of image databases through a single platform,
- Conducting keyword queries SIMULTANEOUSLY, in REAL-TIME, DIRECTLY on all the selected image databases,
- Displaying the images found in a uniform format as thumbnails and previews, storing selections and sending them to various contacts for diverse projects.
- Accessing supplier sites (image databases), holding the commercial rights in order to download mock-up thumbnails, acquire rights, and download high-resolution images.
The goal is not to present 500,000 images to look at, but to ensure that you obtain, as quickly as possible, the best performance and most recent results corresponding to your query.
We provide access to not only the leading and most well-known image databases, but also to an entire universe of generalist and specialist, creative and editorial sources from AROUND THE WORLD.
At Oseeris, a team of image database professionals has already analyzed more than 2,000 professional image sources and continues its quest every day to provide you the broadest, most pertinent offer on the market.
I – Simple and Customizable
◊ Select an Existing Tab
To facilitate your task, we have a few preselected “query domains.” These are actual “Playlists” encompassing a few, or a few dozen, preselected sources.
Type your keyword(s), start the query and surf from one tab to another to access basic query domains and view the results.
◊ Use Query Filters (NEW v1.0)
You may now filter by orientation, image rights “royalty free” or “managed” and only look for illustrations or even just vector illustrations.

◊ Create Your Own Tabs and Playlists
Switch to expert mode and create your own site / target image database lists using the “Choose My Sources” tab. Look-up and select the image databases corresponding to your criteria and add them to your “playlist.” Give it a name.
Your new personal query domain is then represented in the form of a tab. When you activate it, Oseeris uses the sites you have listed by default for your queries.
You can create as many different tabs and playlists as you like. This is useful for adapting to different projects, subjects, or clients.

You may customize your background (black / white / grey), thumbnail size, and reader dwell time using the Configure Your Toolbox button.

II – Intuitive
You can view your thumbnails by hovering the mouse over them.
One click and you switch to preview mode. Oseeris will look-it up in the distributor image database and give you the reference, caption (if it exists), and highlight the link to access the supplier’s site.
◊ Storing Your Queries in a Lightbox
With Lightbox Manager, you can create as many Lightboxes as you need and manage them (foreground activation, modification, deletion)
◊ “Autocomplete” Word List (NEW v1.0)
These are periodically updated in English, French, German, and Spanish. They make input easier and allow you to select the meaning you want when there are several meanings (polysemy). Of course, it does not include the world’s entire vocabulary and you may enter the word(s) of your choice.
◊ Automatic Translation (NEW v1.0)
With its automatic and transparent translation engine, Oseeris generates your keywords from your languages (French, Spanish, German, English) into the target language used for indexing the images in each of the sources.
◊ Polysemy Identification (NEW v1.0)
In the “autocomplete” list Oseeris proposes the various meanings for a given word. This allows you to remove ambiguity in French and English. German and Spanish implementation forthcoming.

◊ Sending and Sharing Image Selections (NEW v 1.0)
Using a link in each lightbox you can now send all your lightboxes by e-mail and share them with your team members or clients.
III – Independent
We don’t favor any one site! The first sites that respond will display their results first, and so on…
This is why we give you the opportunity to select your preferred sites before launching the query, either using one of the Creative, Editorial, or Microstock tabs, or by creating your own “Playlists” and query domains.
We also systematically indicate the image database name holding the rights under the thumbnails and proofs.
IV – Direct Contact
With Oseeris, by clicking the link located under the chosen image (thumbnail or proof), you directly access the site of your choice for downloading and finalizing your purchase. Buy the image you want where you want! We do not take a commission from you or the image databases. Conversely, we reserve the option of charging for more elaborate versions in the future or including advertising.
V – The Future
In 2010 we tested an initial beta version of Oseeris with 250 users in Europe and the United States, collecting their comments and criticisms. We then made several patches (including adding query filters) but we also, and especially, appreciated the great enthusiasm for Oseeris. See the Test Results.
Today, you can access the new version 1.0 for FREE, since we want to show all communications, creation, and publishing professionals the POWER of OSEERIS!
